Culinary Arts Institute

Welcome to the award-winning Culinary Arts Institute (CAI) of Hudson County Community College ! The CAI of Hudson County Community College has provided quality education in the culinary arts for over 20 years. Our students learn about the exciting opportunities that await them in the culinary arts and hospitality industry as they complete their degrees.

The new CAI state-of-the-art facility, completed in the spring of 2007, has provided the tools necessary to enhance your culinary education.  The new facility comprises smart classrooms and 9 instructional kitchen labs with wireless technology, incorporating the latest designs in cooking equipment.  Our 60 seat fine dining room is scheduled to be operational in the Spring of 2007.

Our CAI's philosophy is to afford every student that walks through our doors the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their chosen career path. The CAI is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Educational Foundation (ACFEF). We offer Certificate as well as Associate degrees in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management. This designation recognizes the high quality content and delivery of instruction to our students. Only a select number of schools in the nation have this prestigious designation.

We take great pride at the CAI in that not only do our graduates receive numerous job opportunities, but that they are also properly prepared to succeed in the culinary field and hospitality industry. The faculty and staff at the CAI take tremendous pride in their teachings and educational guidance. Every faculty member takes a personalized approach toward every student's learning experience. In order to accommodate this approach, our kitchen labs are limited to 16 students, guaranteeing the individual attention needed to develop their skills.
